Gary Lisbon

Gary is the owner of Great Golf Escapes (previously known as GOLFSelect), having started the business in 1998 with his wife Maureen after a number of years as a chartered accountant working for a large city firm.

A love of golf and strong contacts within the golf industry, combined with increasing requests from friends and clients lead to the establishment of GOLFSelect (now known as Great Golf Escapes), a business designed to help golfers experience the best golf in the world, wherever that might be, with custom, bespoke itineraries.

Gary is one of the world's leading golf course photographers with his images from 785 courses in 30 countries gracing the pages of the premier magazines worldwide.

In 2002 Gary was invited to become a member of the illustrious US Golf Magazine World Top 100 ranking panel, a panel charged with the responsibility of ranking the best golf courses on the planet and in visiting (and photographing) many of these courses Gary is able to assist the golf travel team with ideas for unique and varied golf holidays.
